Al Madam

Al Madam is the same desert village in the UAE where I photographed Ghost Town a cluster of houses built decades ago and left behind as the population moved toward the coast.

 

This print shows a different house within the same settlement, photographed in a different light and a different palette: warmer, more ochre, more weathered. Together, the two images form a pair two ways of seeing the same place.
