Islamic Geometric Screen, Jumeirah, Dubai
Photography by Ana Zaha
Islamic geometric architecture is one of the oldest and most precise visual languages in the world a tradition in which mathematical pattern carries spiritual meaning, where the act of design is itself a form of devotion.
The geometric facades of Jumeirah are among the most photographically compelling surfaces in Dubai: infinite pattern, controlled light, and the sense that every line was placed with intention. I photographed this screen in Jumeirah on a morning when the light was coming through at an angle that made the geometry cast its own shadow onto itself the pattern doubled, and the photograph became something I didn't expect.
Printed on museum-quality Hahnemühle paper and produced in limited editions, every print is signed and numbered by Ana Zaha.
