A wonder of the Islamic world and one of the largest Mosques in the world, Sheikh Zayed Mosque is located in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates.

 

Created with the vision of uniting the past with the present, and a structure that would unite the cultural diversity of the Islamic world, it was constructed between 1996 and 2007. 

 

The mosque is large enough to accommodate up to 50,000 worshippers. Its 82 domes, Swarovski crystal chandeliers, extensive carpet (the world’s largest at 5,700 sq. m), swimming pools carefully designed to reflect the imposing arches and columns, and a lighting system meticulously synchronised with the phases of the moon, make the Sheikh Zayed Mosque a unique experience every time you visit.
