The Lana Residences — Dorchester Collection Dubai, United Arab Emirates Interior Design: Gilles & Boissier, Paris Photography: Ana Zaha | Canon R5
The Lana is the first Dorchester Collection property in Dubai — and the first in the Middle East. The Dorchester Collection represents the highest tier of luxury hospitality globally, operating alongside The Beverly Hills Hotel, Hotel Bel-Air, and 45 Park Lane in London. The Lana's residences, designed by the Parisian studio Gilles & Boissier, occupy a waterfront position in Business Bay that is both architecturally significant and photographically demanding.

Gilles & Boissier brought a French editorial sensibility to the interior design of The Lana Residences the same studio responsible for the Baccarat Hotel in New York and interiors for Louis Vuitton. The result is a design language that holds French refinement and Middle Eastern scale in genuine tension rather than uneasy compromise.
The material palette is resolved and specific: marble used at a scale that communicates permanence rather than opulence, warm timber flooring that grounds the space against the floor-to-ceiling views of the Dubai waterfront, and a furniture selection that reads as collected rather than installed.

The spaces in The Lana Residences are designed for a resident who travels internationally and expects consistency of standard across cities. The living areas are generous without being excessive. The connection between interior and the waterfront view outside is maintained throughout every room in the commission negotiates that relationship differently. What distinguishes The Lana from Dubai's other luxury residential offerings is the restraint. Where most luxury developments in the UAE communicate wealth through surface accumulation, The Lana communicates it through the quality of material decisions and the confidence to leave space empty.
